The pianist Václav Pacl studied at the Conservatory of Ostrava, Czech Republic, and also at the University of Music and Art in Graz, Austria, under the tutelage of renowned conductor Walter Groppenberger. He did master classes with Elena Gilels (Daughter of Emil Gilels), Avo Kouyoumdjian (University of Music and Art Vienna, Austria), Pierre Jasmin (University of Montreal, Canada), Andrea Lucchesini (Accademia della Musica, Pinerolo, Italy), Leonel Morales (Superior Conservatory of Music in Castellón, Spain), Bryce Morrison (Royal Academy of Music, London), Paul Badura Skoda (University of Music and Art of Vienna) and Jesper Christensen (Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Basel, Switzerland), among others.


Among the recognitions he has obtained throughout his professional career, the following stand out: 3rd prize in the International Piano Competition “Composers of Spain”, in Las Rozas (Madrid) and 3rd prize in Marsala (Sicily), in Castiglion Fiorentino, in Italy, and others like Yamaha in Vienna.


Together with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in São Paulo, it is an honor for the Porto Alegre em Cena Festival to have this great artist in its schedule.
