This is the story of Dom Alonso Quijano, a man who grew up in La Mancha, a region in the very center of Spain. He loved books on chivalry and wanted to be a knight errant and so he named himself Don Quixote de La Mancha, a very clumsy knight who, in the name of his beloved Dulcinea de Toboso, walks along the roads riding his horse Rocinante and accompanied by his faithful squire Sancho Panza, in search of adventures, fighting giants, dragons, witches, armies and sorcerers.
When a book fascinates us, we don't hesitate to recommend it to everyone. This is the reason for this proposal: to bring young readers closer to good literature. “Don Quixote de La Mancha” is one of the most important works in World Literature, considered the first Modern Fictional Novel. When published, it had an immense impact on all fields of art: fiction writers. Poets, visual artists, playwrights, filmmakers, etc. are inspired by the genius of the work to compose their own vision of the world.
